MEET MARY KATHERINE CAYCE, M.S., LPC

With more than 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families, Mary Katherine Cayce, M.S., LPC, brings a compassionate, practical, and family-centered approach to counseling. Her professional experience spans a variety of settings, including public and private schools, special education, foster care and adoption services, life coaching, college preparation, and family support.

Mary Katherine has served as a Special Education Counselor with Aledo ISD, a school counselor in a private school setting, and a business owner providing life coaching and college-preparation services. She also has experience working with foster and adoptive families and has served as a Home Study Specialist for prospective foster and adoptive parents. Through this work, she gained valuable experience supporting families as they prepared for the unique emotional, relational, and practical aspects of fostering and adoption.

Her diverse professional background has given Mary Katherine a unique understanding of the many factors that can impact a child or teenager at home, at school, and within relationships. She has a particular passion for helping children and teens navigate anxiety, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, school-related stress, peer relationships, transitions, self-confidence, and emotional regulation.

Mary Katherine also believes strongly in partnering with parents and caregivers. She enjoys helping families communicate more effectively, understand their child's individual needs, establish healthy boundaries, reduce conflict, and develop practical strategies that can be used both at home and at school.

At the heart of Mary Katherine’s work is a desire to help children and families feel heard, understood, and supported. Her goal is to provide a welcoming environment where children and teens can build confidence, develop healthy coping and communication skills, and successfully navigate the challenges they face—while giving parents the support and practical tools they need to help their children thrive.
