Meet the Math Intervention Specialist - Jessica Hull
We are so excited to welcome Math Intervention Specialist, Jessica Hull to KLC Pediatric Therapy! Mrs. Jessica serves families at the KLC Aledo clinic. We are honored to have her on our team and we can't wait for you to meet her!
Tell us a little about you and your journey in becoming a math teacher - where are you from, where did you go to school, what are your degrees in?
I grew up here in Aledo and attended Aledo ISD schools from kindergarten through graduation in 1999. I went to college in Abilene and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from McMurry University.
Who in your life do you most look up to? Why?
My parents have both been influential in my success as a teacher. Although neither of them worked in education, they taught me about hard work, perseverance, dedication, and faith. They have pushed me to be the best in all areas of life, being a mom, a wife, and a teacher. The opportunities I have been given in my life allow me that chance to make a difference….and they believe this wholeheartedly.
What’s your favorite place to go out to eat in DFW?
I love Mexican food… so Joe T. Garcia’s, Rio Mambo, or even Torchy’s.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family, watching college football (and Aledo football), and reading books.
Tell us a little about your family.
I have been happily married to my husband Travis, a middle school teacher and high school basketball coach, for 22 years. We have three wonderful children. My oldest daughter Presley is about to begin her junior year at Tarleton University focusing on her business finance degree. My son Cooper will be a junior at Aledo High School and spends his free time playing football, basketball, and track. He even has his own lawn mowing business on the side. Charley is my youngest and will be in the 6th grade next year. She loves playing basketball, dancing, and being outside.
Are you more introverted, extroverted, or a mixture of both?
I would consider myself an extrovert. I rarely meet a stranger…. you can ask my husband and children!
What is one thing you would like families to know about you?
I would like my families to know that my passion has always been about helping students find their best self. My job is not only to teach math, but to teach confidence, perseverance, and the love for learning. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
