MEET JESSICA

I’m a passionate mathematics educator, tutor, and proud member of the Southlake Carroll community as a mom of 3 Dragon boys.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma and hold certifications in Mathematics as well as a Principal Certification for the state of Texas. For 12 years, I had the privilege of teaching secondary mathematics, including nine years in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. Alongside teaching, I’ve been a private tutor for more than 15 years, helping students gain confidence and succeed in math at every level.

Throughout my career, I’ve taught everything from foundational skills to intervention courses, always striving to make math engaging and approachable. I’ve served on multiple curriculum writing teams and even created an algebra intervention course for my former district. In 2020, I was honored to be named Colleyville Heritage High School’s “Teacher of the Year” — an incredible milestone that reflects my passion for helping students thrive.

I believe learning math should be fun, meaningful, and confidence-building. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the light bulb moment when a concept finally clicks for a student. My goal is always to bridge learning gaps and empower students to feel capable and excited about math.

Southlake Carroll has been home to me since kindergarten, and now my husband, Collin, and I are raising our three boys here. Two of them currently attend Carroll Elementary, and it’s such a joy to watch them grow up in the same district that shaped me.
